How to connect to your remote MySQL Server via SSH using PUTTY
There are many ways, you can connect to your remote MySQL. You can use MySQL clients to connect to your server. They usually connect using port 3306. But here today i am going to share a more secure way to connect to your MySQL over SSH protocol using a free open source software PUTTY.
STEPS TO USE PUTTY SOFTWARE TO CONNECT TO REMOTE COMPUTER OVER SSH
1. Download and install PUTTY software. It is free you can find it easily on Google.
2. Run PUTTY software, you will see the following screen. Simply enter your MySQL server IP address or host name. SSH protocol works on port 22. which is default port you don’t need to change it.
3. Press OPEN button.
4. Enter MySQL username to log in to your MySQL server.
5. Enter password.
That’s it. Now you are connected to your MySQL server. You can perform all operations which are valid for this logged in user.
